NOTICE TO ATTORNEYS
Prepare for NextGen CM/ECF Access in
the Eastern District of Texas
On May 16, 2022, the Eastern District of Texas will go live on NextGen CM/ECF (NextGen). At that time you will access CM/ECF using your PACER account for both e-filing and for viewing case documents. You will need an upgraded individual PACER account to file documents. Shared PACER accounts cannot be used for e-filing.
Action you need to take:
Prior to May 16, 2022, review the information on PACER's Get Ready for NextGen CM/ECF page, and follow Step 1: Upgrade Your PACER Account. You will also find the document Upgrading Your Pacer Account helpful.
IMPORTANT: When you see mention of linking your PACER account to your TXED e-filing account (Step 2), be aware that this cannot be completed until the court is live on NextGen.
If you have forgotten your login, please email us at ECF_Registration@txed.uscourts.gov and provide your contact information and phone number, as well as the name of the owner of the account, so we may assist you.
A note about NextGen CM/ECF: NextGen simplifies electronic filing by combining CM/ECF and PACER accounts into a single Central Sign-On account. Through the PACER website, you will use one login and password to file documents electronically in all NextGen courts in which you have permission to file.
If you do not know your PACER user name or password and the Forgot Your Password? or Forgot Username? options on the PACER login page don't work for you, please contact PACER Support at 1-800-676-6856 or via email at pacer@psc.uscourts.gov
If you have further questions after reviewing the above information, please contact the court at the following email: ECF_Registration@txed.uscourts.gov
Thank you.
